How to Choose Blockboard and What Are the Purchasing Methods?

1.In home decoration, many of these materials are used to make furniture. When purchasing, you can touch the surface to see if there are any burrs. High quality blockboard has no obvious overlapping or separation phenomenon, and has a dry, smooth, and no unevenness to the touch. Poor quality blockboard, on the other hand, has burrs on the surface and is easy to cut when touched.
2. Check if the surface of the large core board is flat, and if there are any deformations, bubbles, dents, or warps. Saw open the blockboard on site or during construction to observe whether the internal core bars are even and neat, and the smaller the gap, the better. The width of the board core cannot exceed 2.5 times the thickness, otherwise it is prone to deformation. When purchasing, you can freely choose a piece of blockboard to observe whether its surface is smooth and flat, and whether there are obvious defects such as bubbles. Is the thickness of its side panels uniform and whether there is any hollow phenomenon. High quality blockboard boards are labeled with detailed product instructions, environmental protection level labels, and anti-counterfeiting labels, while miscellaneous or low-quality blockboard boards have no labels or the label production is simple and rough.
3. In the production process of such products, some glue needs to be added to increase the viscosity and durability of the product. Therefore, when choosing, you can smell the blockboard up close to see if there is any irritating odor. There is no pungent odor, indicating that the blockboard has good environmental protection. If the odor is pungent, it indicates that the formaldehyde content of this blockboard is high and it is not recommended to purchase. Advanced blockboard adopts high-strength environmentally friendly resin adhesive, which is firmly bonded and has high bonding strength, meeting E0 level environmental protection requirements, and free from formaldehyde pollution.
4. Pay attention to the manufacturer’s trademark, production address, anti-counterfeiting label, etc. Then check whether the formaldehyde release amount in the product testing report is qualified. Large core boards produced by legitimate manufacturers will have testing reports, which contain formaldehyde testing data. The lower the formaldehyde testing value, the better. Is the arrangement of the core bars neat? The smaller the gap in the middle, the better.
